Sarah's song repertoire now includes, "Twinkle Twinkle" (her favorite), "ACDC" (ABC song: "ACDC QRS"), "Old MacDonald Had a Farm," and "Itsy Bitsy Spider."

Mom, Emily, and Sarah finally get a chance to have a playdate with Miss Jennifer, Kaeli, and Cameron! Kaeli is a Purple Coyote on Tues/Thurs and Sarah and Cameron have gotten to know each other from walking up and down the hall together while dropping off and picking up their big sisters! We went over to their house and Sarah and Cameron had a good time getting all his toys out of his basket while Emily and Kaeli did markers. 5/5

On Tuesdays and Thursdays when Sarah doesn't go to school, she likes to stop by the Moonbear door on our way to drop Emily off at Purple Coyotes. They are just settling down for their naps and Sarah blows them kisses through the window! 5/6

When Sarah is sad about being small, Emily reminds her that Sarah "is bigger than Emily's head!" (This started when Phoebe was visiting...) and last night, Sarah had a hard time eating her dinner even though Mommy and Daddy reminded her that she had to eat in order to grow big and strong. SO...this morning, Sarah's first words to me were, "Look, I bigger Emmy's head! Eat my whole dinner--make me grow big!" 5/11

Sarah makes sure I have a wonderful Mother's Day! She hangs out with Daddy and Emily and helps make pancakes for breakfast in bed. She has a present for me from Moonbears! The teachers helped the Moonbears make decorate-your-own-mugs with marker drawings and a photo of Sarah on the playground. It was filled with a lollipop, tea bags, and hot chocolate mix. Sarah also makes a huge flower card that came complete with magnets glued on the back all ready for the refrigerator! At the restaurant for dinner out, Sarah suddenly leaned against my arm and said, "Happy Mother's Day! I love you!" 5/11

Sarah walks around with her flashlight on. Mom says, "What are you looking for?" Sarah says, "Monsters!" "Monsters? Sarah, there's no monsters in this house!" Sarah smiles and confesses, "Just 'tending!" 5/11

Sarah draws a recognizable (backward) "S" on her MagnaDoodle! 5/11

Sarah tells a joke! She says, "Tell you joke knock knock!" "Who's there?" "Tomato!" "Tomato who?" "Tomato won't you sing with me!" 5/18

We just had a FABULOUS parent-teacher conference for Sarah. Moonbear master teacher Kristen said that Sarah is always in such a good mood that the teachers "get so excited to see her! We love it when she comes in the door!" Sarah is a super friend to everyone in the classroom and rarely gets frustrated or cranky with the other kids but is especially sweet to Adam, a smaller boy who, until Sarah barged into his life, was a bit of a loner. Now Sarah sits next to him in circle time and holds his hand, and brings him over with her to play with the different classroom centers, and apparently he is really blossoming under all the love she shows him! Sarah will try anything and there's nothing she really holds herself back from, but is extra interested in "anything messy:" paint, glue, water, playdoh. She is a good listener and learning how to use her words to really communicate her wants and needs to the teachers. She is on target or ahead for all her developmental stuff and Kristen says "is really ready for letter recognition" and things like that! Mommy and Daddy just sat there and soaked up all the favorable reports and compliments! 5/19
