Sarah hands Mom the little dollhouse teapot, says, "Milk," and makes a slurping noise! 6/1

Sarah LOVES to wash her hands, dry them on a paper towel, then toss the paper towel into a trash can. She will stand in front of the sink in a public restroom, saying, "Na! Na!" and rubbing her hands together until Mom picks her up to use the sink. 6/2

Sarah climbs up to the ladder on the big fun toy in the backyard, hauls herself onto the platform, and slides down the [bigger] slide...all by herself. 6/2

While Mom makes dinner, Sarah plays with the dry-erase board on the floor. She scribbles all over it, then uses a tissue to "clean" it off. After each tissue gets "used up," she walks from the kitchen out to the living room to throw the tissue into the trash can by the door! Then she comes back, chooses another tissue, and does it again. 6/3

Mom is standing pulling weeds in the backyard when Sarah comes up with a fistful of dirt and sprinkles it all over Mom's shoes! Sarah goes back to her dirt pile, gets another handful, and does it again! 6/3

Mom and Sarah go to check the fit of Mom's bridesmaid's dress at the tailor's. Sarah spends the whole time buckled into her stroller so she doesn't find all the straight pins on the carpet! 6/3

Sarah grabs her toes and says "Dih!" [Pig!] to request "This Little Piggy." 6/5

Sarah, Emily and I go to the Children's Museum with our friends Sophie and her children Arthur and baby Eva. Sarah is big enough now to really walk around the forest play area and discover things on her own! 6/6

We all go to the DMS graduation party at Daddy's boss Jeff's house. Sarah proceeds to charm the socks off everyone there, though she eats nothing but plain bread from the buffet! 6/7

We say goodbye to Percy this morning. 6/8

Sarah walks on her tiptoes! 6/10

Sarah the Problem-Solver: She wants to watch me put in my contacts, so she picks up the bathroom stool, carries it to the vanity, puts it down and climbs up to peer over the edge of the counter. 6/11

We leave on our trip to Aunt Amy's wedding! 6/11

In our hotel in Des Moines, Sarah doesn't mind standing on the top step of the pool up to her ankles in water, but doesn't want to get any further in. She doesn't mind being held while I walk around with her, but still doesn't want more than her feet wet! She likes pushing the beach ball into the water for Em and Daddy to play with, but finds true love in climbing on and sitting on the lounge chairs. 6/12

Sarah sits on my lap at the rehearsal brunch. I didn't pay too much attention to her because none of the food on my plate was in her repertoire and I figure she won't reach for it. Of course, when I look down she is eating a strawberry, leaves and all. 6/14

Sarah has a tough time at the wedding because the sun in right in her eyes and she is hot, tired, and cranky. Aunt Cheryl helps by sheilding her face with a program! She is a superstar at the reception, though. She hangs out with Grandma for part of the reception line, showing off her beautiful dress. Then she sits with Daddy and Emily at the head table and they wait and wait for me to be done. Sarah stays awake longer than Emily does! 6/15

We drive to Plainfield to spend a few days with Aunt Muffy, Uncle Kevin, and Phoebe. Sarah puts on her swimsuit, but does not want to get in the water! She has some trouble trying to walk on the lawn in her bare feet without making her feet touch the grass. Daddy and Grandpa rescue her and put her in the tree swing, which she much prefers. 6/17

Sarah says something pretty close to "blankie!" 6/19

We stopped at the Henry Dooley Zoo in Omaha on the way home. Sarah liked looking at the animals and would smile and point with her whole arm when she saw one--especially the elephants. 6/20

Sarah wants to "spit" in the sink after brushing her teeth--just like Emily. 6/20

The day after we get home from the trip, we go to the Spring Fling fundraiser at Emily's preschool. They have lots of crafts to work on, but Sarah's favorite is putting stickers on a door-knob sign for her room. 6/22

With a fresh diaper on her bottom, Sarah takes a wipe, stands, bends waaaay over, and wipes the bottom of her diaper. 6/22

I go to New York for two nights for my friend Greg's wedding, and the girls have a great time with Daddy. 6/28
