In the last month or so Sarah has emerged as a real artist! It seems like she has gone from scribbling to pictures like this in about 30 minutes flat. She worked on this picture one Saturday while I was at work. When I saw it, I thought that Daddy had drawn the square windows and the rocket shape, but he said Sarah did it all on her own.

This is a rocket ship, with windows, flying among the stars (and one "moon" under the nose of the ship). Climbing the ladder to the rocket are [from the top down] Dora, Swiper the Fox (you can see his curly tail) and Boots the monkey.

I dictated the alphabet to Sarah while she was in a writing mood to see if she really knew all the letters. She did!

Em and Sarah were playing "vacation." This is a "postletter" that Sarah wrote to Emily while she was "gone." Sarah wrote their names, I wrote the "to."

This was a "wild name tag" that Sarah made during her "Wild Things" unit at school.

A little self-portrait, with lots of curls and a big smile.
