Em, working on her homework, decides, "I think I better stop because I'm getting too frustrated." 3/2

Em is reading an American Girl chapter book! Mrs. Clark read the class an Addy book for African-American history month, and Emily wanted to read the same one to herself at home. She is really stretching as a reader! 3/3

Em is having a What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up costume party for her birthday! It is such a cool idea. We started to invite just 7-8 girls, but then I realized with Em's relatively small class at school, only 2 or 3 girls would be left out--can't have that! So we invited them all! They shaped bread dough into shapes that went along with their costumes, played "Pin the Hat on the Career Girl" and played a version of musical chairs with hats. Then we sent them all out to the back yard because we had lucked out on the weather! 3/12

Sarah was very mad at me when I told her she couldn't read her Ladybug magazine in bed after lights out! 3/2

Looking at her big bowl of raviolis in front of her tonight, Sarah says, "Mommy, you know what I'm going to say when I'm all done, don't you?" I said, "I think so, Sarah!" Sarah says, "'Please, may I have more ravis?'" 3/5
